Pop Art Prints

Inspired by Andy Warhol

Fourth grade artists looked at and discussed the prints of artist Andy Warhol, who was part of the Pop Art movement in the 1960’s. Inspired by popular culture today, students drew a design onto styrofoam to make their printing plate. They printed multiple copies of this plate, rolling out ink with a brayer. They used a variety of colors of ink -- even some "rainbow roll" multi-colored prints. They selected their 3 best prints to mount, title and sign.
